DRV8313: Changing Slow Decay to Fast Decay

Hi,

DRV8313 is used to drive a three-phase brushless dc motor with the slow decay, so what are the concerns if changing the slow decay to the fast decay ?
In addition, please share the application note regarding the slow decay and fast decay.

Hello Sadanori,

Slow decay gives you better torque-ripple performance. The phase currents are responsible creating torque. Fast decay would put larger ripples in the current which would become larger ripples in the torque.
