CC1310: How to stop continuous TX emission (using Radio Test Library)

Hello TI Community,

I re-open an old subject that stayed unresolved in April. I can now make new tests and I confirm that ACTION_IDLE command can't stop emission.

I still don't know how to stop emission of CC1310 once it is configured in "continuous TX" (using Radio Test Library). The only way is to power off. If I use SmartRF Studio, then I can toggle the emission, that means that the command exists.

Unfortunately there are no one from the team that developed the Radio Test Library at work this week due to vacation. I will notify them, so that someone will try to help you once they are back.

Hi Mickael,

You can use the setIdle() API to stop continuous TX, e.g.

RTLDevice *pTestDevice = new RTLDevice26_13xx();

// ... setup RTL device ...

// Start Continuous TX
pTestDevice->startContTx(...);

// ... some time passes ...

// Stop transmission
pTestDevice->setIdle(deviceName, deviceId);

Hi Edvard,

Tanks for your feedback, unfortunaltely this is not the solution. I tried to add setIdle() call few seconds after startContTx() but it does nothing.

I also tried to use disconnect() function, no effect neither.

Do you have any other idea that I can try ?

Stopping with SmartRF studio 7 generates a "CMD_ABORT" event (according to output window), but can't find such command in radio test lib API.

We are using Radio Test Library version 1.10.0.

We found no other solution than power cycle the device.

Hello Edvard,

No I didn't try the last release (v1.12.0).

The project I am working on is already in validation phase. The behavior seems correct now, with the power cycle, so we are not going to resolve this emission stop problem.
