Hi, I bought a pair of Bluetooth 4x4 cc2640 to play it a bit. Can someone tell me if it is possible to put Contiki OS or tirtos inside? Are there any examples of development?

CC2640 only supports BLE and you cannot put Contiki which runs 802.15.4. For BLE, you can download TI BLE-STACK 2.2.2 for CC2640 from www.ti.com/.../BLE-STACK and the BLE Stack is based on TI RTOS.

- For TI-RTOS, see dev.ti.com/.../ for other examples than BLE.
- Why did you select CC2640 and not CC2640R2F? The later has SDK support and also contiki NG. Since CC2640 is a BLE device it does not support contiki.

CC2640 does not have a SDK. For a new project you should use CC2640R2F which has a SDK.

Yes, you can build BLE STACK 2.2.2 examples with CCS.

CC2640R2F SDK is for CC2640R2 chip.

The TI-RTOS version that is used for CC2640 has not been updated in 2 years. That means that bugs etc that has been found in drivers etc after this has not been fixed for this version. The SDKs is updated every 3 month until they reach mature status and drivers etc are updated with new features, bug fixes. The documentation is also much more extensive, see dev.ti.com/.../

I have a problem with the installation of TIRTOS 2.21.01.08. I install SDK of BLE, but when I install TIRTOS I have this error:

If you are using CC2640, you should use BLE Stack 2.2.2.

If you mean to find BLE example toggling led, I remember it is ProjectZero in SimpleLink Academy v1.11 which can be downloaded from software-dl.ti.com/.../overview.html . However, you have to download and install BLE Stack 2.2.1 to build ProjectZero. BLE Stack v2.2.1 can be downloaded from TI BLE-STACK-ARCHIVE

As I understand it, you have just started using CC2640R2F and hence you don't need to reuse old code. Why are you looking at TI-RTOS 2.21 in this case?

Hi TER, I using CC2640R2F 4x4. Now, I playing with SIMPLELINK SDK-CC2640R2, but I have difficult. I tested the SimpleLinkRX and SimpleLinkTX on my smartrf06, but I don't see that the LED of communication is blink. I have modify the pinout for my device

I suppose you are using your own CC2640T2F custom board so I suggest you to test it with SmartRF Studio first to make sure RF works correctly.

Have you made your own boards? If not, could you link to the boards you have. If so, does some of the non RF examples from the SDK work as expected? As YK suggested, does the boards work if you use SmartRF Studio?

I tested the CC2640R2F devices 4x4 with SmartRF Studio for the communication of packet through RX and TX and works. When I programmer the my device with an example of PinInterrupt not work. I modify the CC2640R2.LAUCHXL.h for my PIN. But nothing

Did you step through the code line by line? It could be multiple reason for the LED not on.

Yes, and what did you see? Without knowing your code and your board schematic it's not possible to figure out why your LED is not on.

I know but you only need to change pin defines in board file and that shouldn't make built process failure.

I changed the board.h and cc2640r2_launchxl.c and .h for my device. The example such as pininterrupt and uartecho are working. If I use this file with RFEasylinkRX and TX I have the errors that I send you
