CC1121: use of 0202 components

Hi,  We have an existing design using 0402 components based on the TI reference designs, and we want to shrink the design. Are there any issues using 0202 components where we can find them- or things to look out for?

    Hi,

    If you want to reduce the size then better to use IPC. Yes, you can use 0202 for the remaining components. This way it is safe. No need to tune or rematch it.

    Attached is the Appnote on IPC.

    If you still want to use 0202 size for all the components then you may need to trim the values (may not be required) in the Balun/Filter for optimum performance. It may work with the same values. We haven't tried yet.
