CC1310: TI 15.4 stack: Issue on the newest SDK

Hi TIs,

We use the newest SDK for our application, we met unnormal issue.

settings as follow:

SDK:Simplelink_cc13x0_sdk_3_20_00_23

Rate: 50kbps@433MHz

Collector: 1; sensor: 10

mode:beacon mode

IAR Version：8.32.1

#define CONFIG_MAC_BEACON_ORDER 8

#define CONFIG_MAC_SUPERFRAME_ORDER 8

After the Sensor is connected to collector for 10 minutes, Since the collector will be close. the Sensor is always in the scanning state and cannot enter the orphan state.

If the sensor and collector are connected again and the collector is closed within a short time, the sensor can normally enter the orphan state.

In the last SDK , we donot meet the issue. Because sensor always in the scanning state ,the system power dissipation cannot be ensure.

Pls give recommendation on this issue.

Thanks for your reprly, we have referred the link you provide.

add the following in jdllc.c:

case Jdllc_deviceStates_scanOrphan:
  /* Orphan scan */
  if(!CONFIG_FH_ENABLE)
  {
    ApiMac_mlmeSetReqBool(ApiMac_attribute_RxOnWhenIdle, true);   // ADD THIS LINE
    sendScanReq(ApiMac_scantype_orphan);
  }
break;


but this did not resolve our issue. and our issue is much different as this, we can not enter orphan state.

Hi Sara,

Thank you for further evaluating this. Can you also debug the project in IAR to determine if syncLossCb is entered during this time and whether sensor state updates/switches to Jdllc_states_orphan?

Hi Ryan,

After the sensor loses sync with the collector, syncLossCb is entered at the first time ,then numSyncLoss++ and switchState(Jdllc_deviceStates_syncReq) are executed.

But after executing Jdllc_deviceStates_syncReq, the Sensor does not re-enter syncLossCb or Jdllc_states_orphan.

Hi Sara,

I have evaluated the default v3.20 SDK sensor example and correctly entered orphan mode while operating in beacon mode. This was using CCS v9.20 with LAUNCHXL-CC1310 hardware at 915 MHz. Please notify me of any application changes or environment settings which may help replicate the issue.
