CC1125: Migrating from CC1120 to CC125 doesn't work

Hello everybody!

In our custom design based on CC1120 + CC1190, which runs perfect, we have changed CC1120 to CC1125, changing also the crystal to one of 40MHz with the same load capacitance.

In the firmware, the radio registers have been changed to values suggested by SmartRF Studio. However, on this software, the union CC1125-CC190 doesn't exist.

Please, anyone could show me where are we failing?

I did write questions on this forum about the migrating from CC1120 to CC1125 and it was clear that the change should not be a problem.

Thank you so much for your response, Alexis. But that's the point, my design is exactly as http://www.ti.com/lit/df/tidr235/tidr235.pdf. And with CC1120 it's running perfectly, but with CC1125 (and 40MHz crystal), changing the registers as SMARTRF Studio say, it doesn't run.

Apart from the registers, has the CC1125 any other consideration to be configured?

Hello everybody,

It is obligatory for me to ask all of you for forgiveness. The radio circuit was not being powered correctly because with the hot air used to desolder the CC1120 remove two 0402 components without us realizing that issue.

So, as Alexis told on his first post, the texas design is perfect to use the ICs CC1120 or CC1125.
