CC1352P: CC1352P

Part Number: CC1352P
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1231

CC1352P  has internal DC to DC converter and its VDDS can be of the range of 1.8V to 3.6V.  We are planning to connect  non-rechargeable battery of 3V or 3.6V to as power input.

Internal DC-DC  converter will generate VDDR  which is of the range of  1.65 to 1.98 to power the RF section and digital section.

Kindly clarify below points.

1) Does VDDR also power the digital interface and i/o of CC1352P ?

2)All i/o and communication port of CC1352P is of logic voltage of 1.95V ?   We may need to drive external MOS  switch using i/o of SOC , what is your suggestion to increase the drive strength ?

3)ADS1231 VCC range is 3V to 5V and we are planning to power it by using 3.3V  (TPS63031DSKR).

4)We are using AD 1231  which  will be interfaced with CC1352P using  SPI interface . We see there is  I/O voltage level mismatch in interface.  So do we need to use level translator for interfacing these ic ?

  • Hi Shekhar,

I suggest you have a look at this document, I think you could find it useful:

    1) VDDR do not supply the I/Os, this is supplied by VDDS.

    2) I/O voltage should be equal to VDDS.

3-4) I would expect this to be fine as long as both sides have similar logic levels. If you intend to operate the CC1352P on a voltage different from that of the ADS part, then you maybe should consider a logic translator.
