Does that apply to all the CCA modes, or just LBT ?

How would you suggest doing this in transparent mode?

Is this a general question or are you planning to use transparent mode?

I see that you have a lot of questions about this chip, could you share some details of your application/ use case and it would be easier to answer the questions in that context. 

Yes, it is an existing application using Transparent mode.

Currently, it just transmits regardless.

The requirement is to add the facility to check that the channel is "free" before starting to transmit.

The application is in the 434 MHz band.

LBT is not supported in transparent mode. As the user guide states a lot of the functionality of the chip is not available in transparent mode.

But it just says, "a lot" - hence the question as to whether this particular feature is or is not available.

It's not immediately obvious that it's related to "the built-in packet handling features"
