LPSTK-CC1352R: How do I find out the effective data rate for TI 15.4 sensor collector example?

Part Number: LPSTK-CC1352R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi,
I am running the TI 15.4 example on a CC1352 launchpad and the sensor example on the LPSTK-CC1352R. I want to find out how the effective data rate changes with changing distance in real world scenarios. How can I do that? I also saw that people calculate the packet error rate (PER) for this. Am I correct in assuming this? I could also not figure out how I can view the PER. The SimpleLink documentation about the sensor example says to "simply define DISPLAY_PER_STATS". But I couldn't understand where and how to define this.
Please help! I am a complete noob in this.
