Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1101,
We are planning to upgrade from the CC1100 radio chip to the CC1101.
There has been considerable discussion in the past as to whether changing this chip would require full FCC recertification, if it could be tested as a permissive change, or if no testing was needed.
It has been several years since we last discussed it, and the thinking at the time was that it would be a permissive change.
I would like a definitive answer so we can move forward with the change and schedule any needed regulatory testing.
Note that there would be no hardware changes other than to substitute the new part for the old one on the board.
