SMARTRFTM-STUDIO: Driver update?

Part Number: SMARTRFTM-STUDIO

I am running two different versions of the Smart RF Studio on two different computers.  One version is the latest. The other version was the latest about 1.5 years ago.  Both are doing the same thing constantly asking for and doing a new driver update?

Also I am getting intermittent communication on some of the units where the unit might have to be rebooted before it would communicate, or it would only communicate properly with Smart RF Studio on one of the computers. 

Any idea why it would want to keep updating the driver?

    Hi,

    Please download the latest version of SmartRF Studio from our Website  to both your computers and then use it.

    If you are using one with old and the other with new version then it will ask for the driver update because both versions are different.

    If you run the same version of SmartRF Studio then you will not have an issue. You better to uninstall the older version first then install the new version to avoid issues.

    Its still unclear to me why the computer with the latest version is still asking to be updated, its already on the latest version.

    Hi,

    Is it asking after you connect the board to the PC?

    First time when you connect the board , it will ask to update the Firmware on the board because the board might have a old Firmware.

    Afterwards, it should not ask.

    If it is still behaving it, please uninstall SmartRF Studio and then install the latest version again.

    This was it, thank you! Once the computers had the same version this issue went away.
