The RF_getCurrentTime returns a amount of ticks that I can devide by 4 to get the microseconds. But when I use the rfEchoTx/rfEchoRx examples and I track these ticks when a packet has been sent and successfully returned it gives me a value in the 100000. For my project I am trying to calculate the TOA (time of arrival) with these values I get a distance of 4km when they are next to each other. Someone know if there is a built in delay or something.

First of all, the example you are using is not in any way written to optimize the switching from RX to TX, and there are processing delays from when a packet is received until you can get the currentTime.

However, even when writing optimized code for this, and using timestamp or GPIOs for timing info, I do not think it is possible to achieve what you are trying.

I do not think the demo they refer to (TOF) is avaiable. The only thing we have is the AoA for 2.4 GHz:
