WL1807MOD: Expected end-of-life and possible successor part

Part Number: WL1807MOD

Hi Everyone,

we are currently designing a new product with the WL1807MOD.

Are there any plans for an end-of-life for this part as it already is available for several years?

Can we expect a (maybe pin-compatible?) successor part for the newer WiFi standards 802.11ac and ax?

Hi Jonathan,

There are no plans to EOL WL18xx, these devices are still very popular and being designed into new systems everyday. The standard TI longevity policy is here, and it is a differentiator in the industry.

We will continue to ship devices while demand exists.

Though I can't comment on roadmap plans in this public forum, it is safe to say that TI plans to continue to be a WIFI leader and will offer new competitive and cost effective solutions in the future.
