Hello,

I'm the sales representative assistant of Mountainview Technology LTD based in Taiwan.

I have some questions regarding your WIFI module, WL18MODGI.

The above-mentioned module has already passed Taiwan's NCC certification, and we would like to use this module with other module in a new product (the product will not be sold in the market, but provided as an internal use for a company).

To use these two modules in one product, according to NCC regulations, we have to apply for NCC reexamination (it will require your authorisation and stamp to proceed). 

Could you kindly inform if it's possible and if it costs extra money (authorisation fee?) to do so?

    Hi Jime,

    Please contact TI via WL18XXMOD-RESOURCES if you would like to use Taiwan certification. We will need the following information:

    • End application that our module will be going in
    • End application product name
    • Pictures of the end product + pictures showing the module in the end product.

    Thanks for giving back feedback.

    Please be kindly noted that this project is still in the process of negotiation, so we can only provide you some of information (because we will need to confirm that the module will not/ or will cost extra money to make a quotation to our customer, and after they approve it we can proceed this). Our current concern is, we would like to use this module with a RFID module to make a product for their internal use. If we don't know if it's possible to have the authorisation from you without costing any extra money, we cannot decide the quotation and the project will still be suspended. If you would like to have other info, please kindly ask. Because the TI that you provided as a solution for us seems impossible to solve our problem, thanks!

    So, there will be no extra fee required to proceed the authorisation for NCC examination (to combine your module with the other module from other company for internal use). I will inform my supervisor this piece of info.
