CC3235MODS: WLAN Profiles - TCP client/Server / port information

Part Number: CC3235MODS

Hi,

The module is very good to launch automatically a wifi communication with a list of saved profiles. But is it possible to save other information with these "profiles"?

I would like to be able to associate different TCP communication methods (Client/Server, Ip/Port) with the different profiles.

Is this possible?

Sincerly,

Maxime

  • Hi,

The profiles are used just for storing the AP credentials (for MAC level connection).

I'm not sure how these upper layers parameters relates to a certain profile, but you can do the association (e.g. TCP communication methods per SSID or BSSID of connected AP - which is reported in the Connected event) by using proprietary user file.

  • Hi Maxime,

There is no direct support for storing user data together with connection profile. But it is not issue to implement this feature by yourself. You can change provisioning page (or add your own API for mobile application) and save together with connection profile your user data into file. After connection you will use this data as was recommanded by Kobi.
