CC3235MODSF: Inquiry about some function

Part Number: CC3235MODSF

Hello Expert,

This part will be designed in Digital Door Lock.

They will control power sequence for all system include SoC.

So power consumption is very important to them.

Below is what they want to know.

Could you please give me kind explain and feedback about each questions?

Q1. When Chip state is MCU LPDS and NWP idle connected,

It does not see the internal field of the Beacon, but is it possible to wake up the internal MCU(Application Processor) by socket connection, etc ?

If possible, what's value of the power consumption during wake up?

Q2. If it can't be able to wake up the internal MCU in Q1 condition, what's the condition to be able?

ex) MCU sleep & NWP idle connected.

Best regards,

Michael

  • When the device is in LPDS, the NWP can wake up the MCU upon socket event (NWP keeps the idle connection, waking up and polling beacons for incoming data).

The power with DTIM=1 (100 msec interval) would be 710us (As shown in the table). It can be reduced to 300-400usec with higher DTIM or using the LSI (but LSI has some drawbacks as it can miss broadcasts).

When MCU is awake the power would be ~15mA (if no NWP is off, otherwise you need to add RX/TX values).
