CC3220MODA: RTC Accuracy and Clock Source Selection

Part Number: CC3220MODA

We are using RTC for Adding Time Stamps on Logged Data. We have doubt about Accuracy of RTC cause we have seen variation in TimeStamps of Logged Data.

We want information about

--Accuracy of Internal RTC

--How to change Clock Source of RTC (32.768K Crystal on Board to 32.768K Internal RC Oscillator or Vice-versa)

Regards

  • Hi Ashok,

    Please see this related thread.

  • Hi Ashok,

In the addition to thread above.

    • CC3220 does not have RC oscillator for RTC which you will be able use as source of clock.
    • How big time variations do you see? Are you sure that this variation are not due to natural behaviour of your code? This is most likely especially when RTOS and network communication is used.
    • Do you use data logging into internal Flash memory inside module? If so, how often do you write into this flash?
