CC3200: CC3200-SDK vs simplelink-cc32xx-sdk

Part Number: CC3200

Hi team,

My customer is looking into more of example code from our provided SDK, and found that CC3200SDK_1.5.0 and older version have lots more examples.

Simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_5.xxx and older version have less examples, which they use to develop their products.

The CC3200SDK has STA and mDNS examples, simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_5.xxx does not, do we have these example code for simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_xxxxx?

Thanks,

Connie

  • No. The (CC3x20/35's) Simplelink_cc32xx SDK is built differently.

The Gen2/3 SDK contains less examples where each does more (although some of the examples of Gen1 were removed).

Specifically, the Network Terminal demonstrate features that were used in several application in the CC3200SDK.

He can refer to MDNS code in the Network Terminal. Code Equivalent to the (getting-start-with) station code can be found in Network Terminal and in other STA based examples (i.e. almost all the examples).

He can also port Gen1 example to Gen2 (migration guide can be found in the CC32xx SDK (under docs/simplelink_mcu_sdk/SimpleLink_Gen1_to_Gen2_SDK_Migration_Guide.html).
