CC3235MODSF: Connectivity problem with WPA Enterprise using EAP method PEAP0_MSCHAPv2

Part Number: CC3235MODSF

Hi,

We have experienced a weird problem at the field today with one of our customers. Our customer is using WPA Enterprise connection with PEAP0 MSCHVAPv2 authentication method. All the SSID broadcasts are over 5 GHz frequency. We are using the SDK version 5.30 and the corresponding service pack in our firmware.

The weird behaviour is that sometimes the device can not connect to the network and sometimes it does. At first, we thought that it might be caused due to the antenna but the behaviour was the same when we were right next to the AP. also I have enabled logging the scanned APs within the firmware to make sure that the RSSI levels were OK. Many of the same SSID that we want the device to connect can be seen with acceptable RSSI levels.

Also, it is not always the same error code for the disconnection event but the ones that we have seen are:

SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_UNSPECIFIED, SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_AUTH_TIMEOUT, SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_ASSOC_TIMEOUT, SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_WHILE_CONNNECTING.

Of course, I have taken NWP logs when it happens but I would like to send it through private channels to one of TI engineers.

It would be great if you can help me with this problem.

Thank you.
