CC3220S-LAUNCHXL: Energia Sample Code not running

Genius 12715 points
Part Number: CC3220S-LAUNCHXL
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ENERGIA, CC3220S

Hello  Team,

I tried with CCS Cloud to load under Project -> "New Energia Sketch" -> Built-in Examples -> 01.Basics -> Blink.ino

After pressing the RUN button the project is compiled and built without errors but I get this error:

Running failed
The project does not have a target type

Can you help, please?

Thanks and Best Regards, Hans

  • Hi Hans,

Ill try to help as best as I can however, Energia is not supported in the E2E forum relevant thread -> https://e2e.ti.com......

It is recommended to ask the 43OH forum yet I am not sure if it even exists anymore as I could not get it to load. However, I was able to flash the blink example into a CC3220S Launchpad and it worked. Make sure to choose the right device when creating a new energia project in the LEGACY Cloud CCS.

As a side question, any particular reason you are using energia and the legacy CCS cloud version?

    Kind Regards,

    Rogelio

  • Hi Rogelio, thanks! I used Chrome as a browser and switching to EDGE made it work after installation of TIcloudAgent-Bridge and -Application.

Which browser did you use, please?

As an analog guy I prefer Energia because it is far easier to use (for me ;-) I hope the "New Energia  Sketch" button will stay on CCS cloud! With CCS cloud it is possible to debug the Energia code which is not possible if you use local Energia Tool.

    Thanks and Best Regards, Hans

  • Im glad you got it working. I personally used chrome but I had the Bridge already installed which I assume is where the problem came from.

    All the Best,

    Rogelio
