CC3130: Production test of CTS pin

I am designing test equipment for a PCB with a CC3130 and would like to verify that the CTS pin (pin 61) has been correctly soldered and that there are no solder balls shorting the pin.

Normally this pin will only go low if I "overload" the CC3130 with data on the UART. My software developer tells me this is not going to work.

Is there any other way to make the CC3130 toggle this pin to verify the soldering process ?

Hello Palle,

Unfortunately there is not a way to control the toggle of the CTS pin on the cc3130.

Hi Palle,

In theory you can definitely overload the UART, make sure when you set the uart to enable flowcontrol.

If you send enough data, fast enough the CTS pin should toggle. Also the pin is Active Low.

I recommend going over the Network Processor Guide Appendix D.2
