WL1835MOD: Bluetooth diagnostic modes and documentation

Part Number: WL1835MOD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1835

We're putting our Linux based system with WL1835 BT/WiFI module through various EMC testing. We need to take control of Bluetooth transmitter for continuous and hopping transmission on various bands.

I've found and followed the advice at https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/wi-fi-group/wifi/f/wi-fi-forum/124304/hcitool-commands-for-test-purposes with only intermittent success. It refers to a "WIKI" at  http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Bluetooth_FCC_Mode#WL1271_.2B_ARM_Platforms but the link is broken.

We need more specific information about this test mode and the expected behaviour of hcitool: best advice seems to be to use a "vendor specific HCI command" with mnemonic "HCI_VS_DRPb_Tester_Packet_TX_RX". Is this documented anywhere for the WL1835? A search for "HCI_VS_DRPb_Tester_Packet_TX_RX" leads me to

/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/968/CC256x-Testing-Guide-_2D00_-Texas-Instruments-Wiki.pdf

Which might be of some use, if I can assume it also applies to the BT part of WL1835?

Thanks in advance for any help.
