CC3551E: CCS 20.0.1: Flash project fails with Error connecting to the target: (Error -614 - (3:16:1))

Part Number: CC3551E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

Hello,
I copied the cc35x1_device_support files from the sdk 8.41.0.0 to the ccs_base directory and ran the python script.
Building the project works fine.
But Debug Project and Flash Project both fail with:

CS_DAP_0: FlashDeviceOsprey::Programming
CS_DAP_0: SetCurrentDirectory failed (2).
Error connecting to the target: (Error -614 - (3:16:1)) The target indicates there is an error condition from a previous SWD  request. Clear the error the condition, and try the SWD request again. (Emulation package 20.0.0.3283)

Copying the support files to uniflash causes an error during device database re-sync.

Found multiple instance nodes matching cpu id Cortex_M0_0

The wifi toolbox 3.0.10 (ea) works for programming the factory image. I can see the serial terminal in TeraTerm.
But when I program the build binaries from CCS with it there is no sign of life on the serial port anymore.

I activated the CC35 chip with the "Vendor Authentication Bypass" option.

I suspect that this setting is unusual. Where can I get more information about the required files and signatures for the programming procedure?

Best regards,
Lukas
