I am working AM335x EVM + WL1833 module.
I am developing WL1833 module and it's pin compatable with COM8 WL1835.
I tested already its operation of Linux OS using ti-sdk-am335x-evm-06.00.00.00 and it is working well.
But Bluetooth is not working in android JB 4.2.2.
I have built according to following link.

I downloaded source from row-boat gitorious and builded.
WiFi STA mode worked well in both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
But When I turn on BT in settings, it turns off right away.
And sometimes, During BT pairing processing, I can find BT pairing device name on AM335x EVM, but it can't be used.
TI pre-built image(Android-NLCP, ol_R8.A6.02) is same result.

And what's the meaning of N.C of BT tab in Android_4_2.xlsx file linked in Test Result?

In JB4.2.2, Do AM335x EVM + WL1833 operate corectly BT?

Hi Peter,

NC means Test Cases Not Checked.

Looks like GPIO is not toggled properly.

This should be high before there is any communication with the chip.

Make sure that uim-sysfs is running? And you have the Service pack in “/system/etc/firmware/” folder with correct permissions. You can get the service packs form https://github.com/TI-ECS/bt-firmware

Also check if the connection with the chip is fine when you face this issue. Also if possible please check if the voltage on GPIO is driven high.

Thanks for your comments.
I tested BT function as changing latest TIintxxxx.bts files in https://github.com/TI-ECS/bt-firmware.
Then, A2DP-source, AVRCP fuctions operate correctly.
I used hansfree device for testing and it use BT classic stack and profiles.

But,
iphone 4s(iOS 7.0.6), jelly bean 4.1 android phones is not operating correctly.
After pairing with devices, i can see device name on AM335x EVM, but it displayed 'unpaired'.
What's the reason(s) in there?

Hi Peter,

That is strange. was the pairing successful. if so please try refreshing the settings page on your remote device.

also try initiating the pairing from remote device and see.

This looks more like the stake related issue, So please check it on the respective forum

Hi Sundeep,

I'll monitor smart phone pairing issues continously.
And about BLE function..
I know that WL1833 have BLE feature but it's not supprted to android JB 4.2.
In android, BLE is supported above JB4.3.
Is right?
If so, when TI release BLE suppored android version?

Hi Peter,

BLE is available on Android from JB MR2 (which I think is 4.3).
Regarding your next question, are you asking if when TI would release the Android 4.3 Devkit release on AM335x? If so, can you please check this on the respective forum (http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/android/default.aspx)?
