As I understand it, the CC3200 is an ARM Cortex-M based device. Will TI be providing CMSIS headers for this device? (Specifically the CMSIS-CORE and module-specific register structures and defines.)
Although CMSIS is the ARM standard interface, TI support for CMSIS is spotty. There are some headers around for Stellaris and Tiva models though it's unclear where they come from, but TI has declined to provide these for the CC2538.
In my experience CMSIS headers provide control that more closely matches the device capabilities than wrapper libraries like TivaWare, and it'd be really nice to have them for all TI ARM devices.
