Tool/software: Linux

Hi,

I want to know how to interface WL1837MODCOM8I and Beaglebone Black development board.

BeagleBone Black development board.

  • You would need to use a wireless connectivity cape with BBB.
  • Hello Mohit,

NOTE: This is a copied response of my answer from your more recent related question. I think it might be useful for anyone else landing on this page.

Thanks for using the E2E forums! If I understand correctly you are trying to use a BeagleBone Black to interface with theWL1837MODCOM8I board. That is not a recommended configuration. The BeagleBone Black is intended to be used with a cape while the WL1837MODCOM8I is intended to be used with our AM335x/AM437x/AM57x EVMs or a custom board. The BeagleBone Black uses the AM335x processor.

Here is are two capes for the BeagleBone Black that use our WL1837 chip:

    Stream Unlimited

    Element14

It is generally recommended that a linux machine be used to begin development here is the link to the WiLink8 Linux Getting Started Guide. This should help you get up and running with your BeagleBone.

    I hope that helps!
