Hi,

I've been trying to get the wifi_audio_app to from the 1.3.0 SDK to run, but have not been successful.

I followed the instructions in this document:

but am not able to get either device to connect to an AP.

Do I need to make any modifications to the "Config Groups" in the UniFlash Tool?

Yes, I format the flash before I program the bin file. I am using the iOS Smart Config app connected to the AP before I power-up the boards.

Loopback mode (before connecting to an AP) on each board works fine.

What am I missing?

Thanks for the reply Michael.

Am I supposed to flash the provisioning app first, provision it, then re-flash it with the wifi_audio_app? Does the provisioning app actually store the AP information in the flash, or does the information get lost next time the device powers-up?

Is there an application which would allow me to connect two boards using point-to-point so I don't need an AP?

Hi John,

The wifi audio app has provisioning built-in. If it cannot connect to an AP with existing profiles stored in SFLASH, then it will automatically start the provisioning process and wait for you to use your phone to provision it with the app. Once you use your phone to provision the CC3200, the AP information will be stored persistently in flash so that you won't need to provision it again (as long as your AP stays the same).

There is no P2P capability in the wifi audio demo, but you can use the WlanConnect method that I described in my linked post above that explains how you would set up the CC3200 to statically connect to a predefined AP. That would remove the need for fiddling around with the smartphone app.

Hi Michael,

If I run the provisioning app, this is all I get.

I will try it using the WlanConnect() method, but I'd still like to get the provisioning working.

Hi John,

When you attempted using the WlanConnect() method, did you modify the common.h file at example/common/ with your AP's SSID and security key?

Hi John,

Having sl_wlanconnect() not work is a bit concerning. What error do you get when it fails? lRetVal should be printed out to the console if it fails.

A couple questions for you to help eliminate sources of error:
1. Have you tried using the latest servicepack and seeing if you get the same errors?
2. Are you using a CC3200 Launchpad or are you using custom hardware?

With ver. 1.30 of the SDK, there have been some changes to how provisioning is implemented. Try looking at this thread, following the steps outlined and seeing if that helps;
