CC3XXXRADIOTEST: Radio Testing, some RX functions are missing

Hi all,

using Radio Tool for certifications following functions are not available. How to set it?

  • we can’t select a specific Data rate reception mode in the RX test using the current test program.
  • when receiving mode test all data rates of 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n operate,
  • the RX setting must be operable at a specific data rate. EX) 1Mbps, 54Mbps, MSC 0 etc.

Following hard/software is used:

I am using following Hardware/Software:

- CC3100/CC3200 Radio Tool v1.2.5942.19689

- CC31XXEMUBOOST Board Rev.3

- CC3100MOD

    MIke - 

    The Radio Tool allows you to select the channel - but all rates are supported. If you have a transmitter which is only doing one rate, this will then show up correctly (as if only that one was selected) after stats are obtained in the tool.

    would it be possible for you to elaborate on exactly what you are trying to accomplish here? its not 100% clear yet

    Hi Josh, the request is coming from test house in South Korrea, so I only can forward their request:

    "As with the TX test, it is necessary to select the transmission speed for the RX test.

    At present, program can’t select the transfer rate by program.

    RX also requires a method that allows the user to select the transfer rate.

    So please provide method or other program."

    Can you support here?

    Hi Mike,

    The rate can be set for TX in radio tool. As Josh said, it is not possible to set a specific RX rate at which to test the receiver. If there is a specific type of test they are performing, please share the name and detailed information.
