CCS/LAUNCHCC3220MODASF: CCS/LAUNCHCC3220MODASF

Part Number: LAUNCHCC3220MODASF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I was using CCS with CC3220MODASF board in debugging mode.

After using it for sometime, I found that the COM port on which the board was connected, was not opening.

I was unable to access the board.

I tried to reset the board and also did USB pulg out and plug in, but still the board remain inaccessible.

I also attempted image updation using Uniflash but the board was inaccessible for image updation as well.

Here is the screenshot:

  • Hi Vaishali,

Do you have access to another CC3220 launchpad, or any launchpad with an XDS110 debugger onboard?

As a debug step, try connecting the XDS110 from another board to the CC3220MODASF. You can do this by connecting a cable from the XDS110 OUT of one launchpad to the JTAG_IN of the CC3220MODASF. You can also wire the XDS110 from the debugger header of the other board to your CC3220MODASF. If you look at the CC3220MODASF LP, there is a row of jumpers next to the debugger that bridge the debugger signals from the onboard XDS110 to the CC3220MODASF. If you remove those jumpers, then connect jumper wires from the top row of your other XDS110 board to the bottom row of the CC3220MODASF, then you'll be able to use the other XDS110 debugger with your CC3220MODASF.

See if that helps, and let me know if that doesn't fix things.

    Regards,
    Michael
