Hello,
Following an earlier enquiry I have tried several times to Bluetooth Connect my Windows 10 laptop to the ID BEAM. Each time without success. As per earlier advice I have checked that drivers are all updated and they are. When I turn on the Id Beam it will detect immediately as "ID BEAM F8:E2" with the option to pair. Every attempt ends with a message saying "Driver Error". Does it require a dedicated COM port. When I try to assign one the message is " The device you have selected does not have a serial port running". I can Bluetooth perfectly from an iPad to the Beam. Equally I can Bluetooth perfectly from the Windows 10 laptop to UE Mini Boom bluetooth speaker. The only thing I can conclude is that there is some driver incompatibility between the Beam and Windows 10. I see from looking at the forum that I am not the only person with this problem.
