CC3100MODBOOST: Interfacing CC3100MODBOOST and TMS320C6748 through SPI

Hello,

I recently bought CC3100MODBOOST and CC31XXEMUBOOST modules to add wifi connectivity to my LCDKC6748 board in which I was working earlier.

Is there any document or example program for interfacing CC3100MODBOOST and LCDKC6748 module through SPI communication.

The document I referred is http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC31xx_SPI_Host_Interface. But this document doesn't gives me clear idea.

Kindly suggest me how could I start interfacing this two boards.

Hi Navaneetha krishnan,

There is no dedicated reference of LCDKC6748 with CC31XXEMUBOOST.
The are other host platform examples (over SPI) and a porting guide within the CC3100 SDK (see
<SDK-ROOT>/cc3100-sdk/docs/simplelink_api/html/index.html).

Hi Navaneetha krishnan,

The SPI porting is required (and it should be possible for the LCDKC6748).
TI supports couple of reference platform - LCDKC6748 is not one of them.
Please refer to the porting guide I've pointed before to get the full instructions for such porting.

Hi Navaneeta Krishnan,

I don't have any specific platform that i can recommend. You can refer to any of the supported platform.
The decision may be related to the OS you use. We are only supporting one FREERTOS example in the plugin (for msp430f5529lp) and the rest are ported as non-os.
There is also the TIRTOS download page in downloads.ti.com/.../index.html which include multiple SDKs some of them support the CC3100 (you need to dig deeper to find exactly which).
Note that basically you just need to port the SPI lines and host interrupt line to enable the interface of the CC3100 .
