CC3100: No interrupt on HOSTINTR line after setting nHIB

Part Number: CC3100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Hi, I have problem with CC3100 not asserting an interrupt on HOSTINTR line after setting nHIB (I checked that with oscilloscope). I'm trying to bring-up my custom board where cc3100 module schematics copies one from  Figure 6-1. Schematics for CC3100 Wide-Voltage Mode Application from CC3100 datasheet.
I have such voltage levels on my board:
    VDD_ANA1 = 1.92V
    VDD_ANA2 = fluctuates near zero (0.00 - 0.15V)
    VDD_DIG1 = 1.23V

  • Hi,

    We will look into it and get back to you ASAP. Please bear with us.

    Thanks,

  • Thanks, PM.

    Some more info, maybe it will be helpful.

    32.768KHz and 40MHz oscillators work and chip doesn't look completely dead - I can see some pulses on UART1_RX, UART1_RTS, FLASH_SPICSn, FLASH_SPI_CLK and FLASH_SPI_MOSI.

    I tried to connect CC3100 with Uniflash - connection succeed but version info can't be read, no ACK.

  • Artem,

    Please download the CC3x00 Hardware Design Review Checklist here. Open the spreadsheet and select the "CC3100R" tab. Go through the checklist, ensure that your design follows our guidelines by using columns G and H, then save the spreadsheet.

    I will send you a friend request. Please send me the saved checklist + your custom board's schematic via direct message. I will then review your schematic and provide feedback within 4 business days.

    Thanks,

    Seong
