WL1837MOD: Inquiry about HCI_VS_Set_PCM_Loopback_Enable command

Part Number: WL1837MOD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3356,

Hello Experts,

Our customer is developing their system with AM3356/WL1837MOD. Customer would like to check audio-path-connection between AM3356 and WL1837MOD on production line as easy as possible.

Customer is reading “ WiLinK 8.0 Bluetooth® Vendor-Specific HCI Commands”(https://www.tij.co.jp/jp/lit/ug/swru442b/swru442b.pdf) and noticed “HCI_VS_Set_PCM_Loopback_Enable (0xFE28)” command. Customer is considering that they are able to confirm the hardware-connection by using this command. They means, When customer input the sine-wave which is generated by AM3356 to WL1737MOD, customer is considering that they are able to check the returned-signal from WL1837MOD with this command. Is this thought correct?

It will be appreciated if you will share your advice/comments on this.

Best regards,

Miyazaki
