CC3230SF: How much differences are between the CC3235SF LAUNCH PAD and an CC3230SF regarding Software

Part Number: CC3230SF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3235SF, , SYSCONFIG

Hi team,
we made our own hardware design based on reference schematic  for 3230SF.

Very similar to the LAUNCH PAD CC3235SF, just no 5 GHz path for WiFi.

How much software differences do we have to expect when we start development on CC3235SF and switch then over to our own hardware based on CC3230SF.

Are there more things than the adaption of the device in the sysconfig?

Pinout is nearly compatible from our viewpoint.

Thanks for your support.

  • Hi Sbu,

You are correct, the pinout is very similar. There are currently no software changes that must be made when moving from the CC3235SF to the CC3230SF, except for flashing the serial flash. If you are using SysConfig ImageCreator, you will have to start with a new image.syscfg file created from the standalone SysConfig tool. If you are using UniFlash ImageCreator, you will have to create a new project with the new device type.

    Best regards,

    Sarah
