I am implementing a CC3135MOD in a design and will need to step-down the voltage from 18V to 3.3V. The reference design uses a low-noise linear regulator to supply power to the module. To minimize power-loss I was going to implement a buck regulator to step-down the 18V to a lower value, but was curious if it would be recommended to implement a second regulation stage (low-noise LDO) between the switcher output and the 3.3V rail to clean up the supply rail.
