CC3220R: How the firmware should be handled for this device

Hi Team,

The Table 3-1 of the datasheet of CC3220R shows that the SF version has 1MB of flash memory while the R version has no flash memory. Our customer failed to program the CC3220R. He would like to know how the firmware should be handled for this device.

Hi Danilo,

For all of the CC32xx devices, the firmware is loaded onto the external serial flash of the device. This applies to the CC3220R - even though it only has the 256KB of RAM for program storage, the actual code is flashed and stored persistently on the external serial flash part connected to the CC3220R.
