WL1835MOD: Module Integration with Android 11

Part Number: WL1835MOD

Customer using non-TI processor with WL1835MOD running Android 11 (kernel version 5.4.70) having issues with both BT and WIFI

On BT

  1. The HCI_LL.c driver is able to load the FW onto the BT chip and hence the BT chip is working fine
  2. The issue is the communication between hci_ll.c driver and HAL on Android, the HAL fails waiting for the HCI device, though we are able to see that HCI device is indeed created

On Wifi

  1. The Wlcore gets loaded fine, we are able to see that "wlcore firmware booted message etc"
  2. The issue is as said again on how to set up the communication between userspace and kernel driver.

In both cases, we followed the way provided by Hikey Google reference board which too uses the wilink modules, but still we face issues when trying to enavle.

  • Lawrence,

We are not able to provide much support on this topic since we mostly support customers running Linux.  On Linux , user can run wpa_cli which interfaces with wpa_supplicant daemon and can be used for scanning available networks, connecting  to an AP etc.
