I'm trying to get Bluetooth working, my setup is the AM572x GP EVM, WL1837MODCOM8I, and processor SDK 02.00.02.11.

All I want to do is get Bluetooth working with this setup. I've been going through various wiki pages which keep taking me in circles.Most of the material seems to be geared towards the AM335x. I can't find a clean step-by-step guide to get me through this. I'm not a Linux expert by no means but it shouldn't be this difficult.

Hi Brad,

I appreciate your feedback. We will work on improving this experience.

- Even though the wiki page guides are geared towards AM335x EVM, the steps are identical for the AM437x and AM57xx EVMs. I will try to summarize the build process in linear steps below.

1. Download the AM335x/AM437x/AM57xx Sitara Linux SDK from ti.com and install it on to a host linux machine as explained in the Sitara wiki.

2. Create the SD card as explained in the Sitara SDK.

3. Download the ti bt-stack linux addon and install it on the linux host.

4. Depending on the EVM, modify the .dts file in the Sitara Linux SDK installation as explained here. If the patch fails on newer version of the Sitara SDK (i.e. sitara sdk version >03.00.xx.xx), you will need to manually modify the dts file to implement the changes that the patch is doing.

5. Make the Sitara toolchain again for the .dts changes to generate the new corresponding .dtb.

6. Copy the new .dtb to the SD card created in step 2.

7. Copy the wl18xx-bt-sp to the SD card.

8. Copy the pre-compiled BluetopiaPM sample applications in the ti bt-stack linux addon to the SD card.

9. Plug the SD card in the Sitara EVM and boot up.
