I know that i do not need the CC31XXEMUBOOST to emulate cc3200MODLaunchXL but my question is 

my production is based cc3200MODLaunchXL except all the FTDI chips so to program and emulate i want to plug

the cc31XXEMUBOOST. 

I want to be sure that i can emulate and program in such that way so if i plug CC31XXEMUBOOST on

cc3200MODLaunchXL does it works? Is there any jumper to exclude the ftdi on CC3200Mod?

    Hi,

    Sorry I don't understand correctly your question. At CC320MMOD LaunchPad you can disconnect FTDI on LaunchPad from Module (JTAG, UART). For more information please see schematic for CC3200MOD LaunchPad www.ti.com/.../tidrc48

    So if i disconnect FTDI then i can plug CC31XXEMUBOOST to emulate and program?

    It seems i can disconnet the ftdi removing the jumpers, i can program plugging the CC31XXEMUBOOST but it is not clear if i can emulate also.

    Hi,

    Sorry I don't know (I am not sure if hardware is compatible) . But it does not make sense. Why you need that? CC31XXEMUBOOST with CC3200MOD LaunchPad you can use only as USB->3.3V UART converter. One converter you already have at LaunchPad. Really I don't understand.

    Update: CC31XXEMUBOOST is not designed to be debugger for CC3200. If you need debug your own board, just use debugger (JTAG) from LaunchPad.

    Well, the reason is this

    I want to do my own board based on CC3200MOD hardware.

    Obviously i need to program and to emulate the board.

    To program, i have seen that if i mantain on my board the same connector with the same pin out i can plug the CC31XXEMUBOOST and use it as programmer.
    To emulate i wonder how to do, it seems that the easy way is to put a jtag connector on the board.
    The best was that i can use the CC31XXEMUBOOST, that's it. But seems it is impossible

    Hi,

    I think better is use UART and JTAG from LaunchPad and connect it by cable with your own hardware.
