CC3200: Service back backwards compatibility

Part Number: CC3200

Hello,

My company develops a product based on CC3200. We have several hunderds of products installed in out clients and we are currently on our 11th OTA FW release.

The firmware was developed over SDK 1.1.0 and for various reasons it is not practical for us to update the SDK. Also, we cannot update the service pack via OTA due to lack of flash memory space.

Currently, we flash our boards with out firmware and service pack 1.0.0.10.0 (which was released with SDK 1.1.0).

According to this post, service pack 1.0.1.11-2.9.0.0 is backwards compatible with SDK 1.1.0. Does that mean that we can ship our recently produced batch with service pack 1.0.1.11-2.9.0.0 and the same FW code built with SDK 1.1.0?

Thank you
