CC3220MODA: How to connect cc3200-launchxl board to CC3220MODA for programming by uniflash?

I have CC3200-launchxl Rev 3.2 and CC3220MODA .I want to program CC3220MODA using cc3200 launchpad by uniflash.

If i make connection listed bellow will it work ?

1) make common ground .

2) remove J13 from launchpad and connect EMUPWR to Vbat1 and Vbat2 of CC3220MOD module.

3) remove J6 J7 from launchpad and connect FTDI RX TX to pin 46(G1) pin 47(G2) of CC3220MOD module.

4) Connect RST pin of 20 pin Header in lanuchpad to Reset pin of CC3220MOD module.

5) make SOP2 pin pullup and make SOP0 , SOP1 pull down.

Kindly let me know if this will work or not and if there is anything is missed out by me.

Hi,

I have done setup as below and as mentioned in my main post.

Flashing Image by uniflash working fine. I am following SWRU461 getting started guide and trying network terminal example tirtos ccs.

But after reset my code does not work and getting some garbage on serial com port.

please consider i have not connected antenna and decoupling capacitor at VBAT ,both vbat and vbat2 are shorted.

Hi Vince Rodriguez,

I found problem and its working fine now.
Had to remove sop2 jumper wire after flashing and make it pulldown. reset the board and there you go...
So this one will helpful to who want to program cc3220 using cc3200 launch pad.

Is it possible to DEBUG cc3220mod from ccs studio using jtag of cc3200 launch pad?

If i connect jtag pins ..what i setting i have to do in target configuration for cc3220 to perform debug . please consider I am new to ccs and cc3220.

Hi Vince,

I have connected JTAG pins to CC3200 launchpad board jtag board after removing JTAG jumpers. and selected "stellaris in circuit debug interface " in target configuration in CCS studio but it does not working. other connection is same as in past post mentioned position.
