CCS/CC3220: Flashing cc3220

Hello,

I am having serious problems flashing a cc3220 on a custom custom board. I have followed the reference designs for the launchpad with few modifications. So far i have tried about 5 revisions on the cc3220S. cc3220sf and the ss3220MODA chips. I have tried flashing these things with CCS and it always fails. I have tried both with UART and with JTAG. When i run JTAG test connection all scans complete successfully. the error i am seeing is:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -2131 @ 0x0)
Unable to access device register. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 7.0.48.0)

I am open to any suggestions.

Hi Jakerage,

If you have a LP can you please first verify your flash procedure first works with a working board? This will verify the Image Creator tool you are using is working correctly. Also, which types of modifications were made with your custom board?

The only modifications we're adding some components to a few of the gpios. Other than that is the same as launch pad desgin. For board design using the cc3220MOD I just copied their reference design for the video over WiFi reference I still get the same error, I am able to flash this to the cc3220 devkit.
