CC3200: Continuous mode for CC3200 Radio Tool

Does it seem like the device is crashing, or can renable the TX testing after it stops?

Hi Vincent,

It doesnt look like the device is crashing. After pressing "start tx testing" the device will stop tx after awhile but if I press the "stop tx testing" button and then press "start tx testing" again it will tx for awhile again.  So I am able to keep repeating the process but the transmit duration is too short.

Hey Jet,

Download the CC3200 hardware design checklist here and use the 'CC3200R' tab to ensure that your design follows our guidelines exactly, especially the power pins (rows 10 to 19).

I see that you're using Radio Tool v1.2.5942.19689 and Service Pack v1.0.1.6-2.7.0.0. Could you try using the previous Service Pack, v.1.0.1.6-2.6.05? You can download this one here:

Hi Seong,

Just had a look and realized that the Wifi chip we use is CC3200MODR1M2AMOB. The chip has the same pin layout as CC3200MOD tab. Does it matter that the chip is recognized as CC3200R on radio tool?

The CC3200R chip is internal to the CC3200MOD module and the GUI is communicating with the chip, so this does not matter.

My CC31XXEMUBOOST I used to communicate with the CC3200R chip is faulty. I bought another one but I am still waiting to receive it. I will update you as soon as I get it setup again.

This is the debug message when I tried to format or program with the EMUBOOST

It seems like device 2 is not detected anymore and I don't know if that is correct. but I am unable to format or program the CC3200 anymore, it will always fail at the wait for ack step.

Sorry, I forgot that you have a CC3200MOD. The CC31XXEMUBOOST is for the CC31xx family devices. To connect your custom CC3200MOD board to Radio Tool, use a CC3200 or CC3200MOD LaunchPad and make the connections shown here.

As I was given the CC31XXEMUBOOST by my developer, I have assumed that it was compatible. I am just wondering would it still work with EMUBOOST as I would have to order CC3200Launchpad and wait for it to be delivered.

p.s I did managed to format, program and do everything on EMUBOOST until it failed to work.
