Hi everybody ,

I must use openssl1.1.x for company request .

now hostapd/wpa_supplicant ( needed to use service like acs ) in latest driver vR8.7SP3 is compatible with openssl 1.0.x but not with 1.1.x .

how can I proceed ? is there any patch to apply ? any workaround ?

as main processor I m using AM3352 , latest SDK .

I believe latest version of wpa suppliant supports openssl 1.1.x . Although we have our release based on openssl 1.0.x , you may try open source supplicant and openssl and see it it works .

I m using TI porvided version since open source do not support all services ( like acs )

coudl you help me ? did you test openssl1.1 sucessfully ?

Hi Carlo ,
R8.7_SP3 release uses openssl 1.0.x and not 1.1.x. We do our testing with official release . Did you try testing our drivers with open source upstreamed supplicant / openssl ?

if using open source supplicant some WL8 services like ACS don t work .
coudl you help ? I must have version 1.1 at least on openssl
otherwise coudl you help in getting our driver working with openssl1.1 ?

TI has it's own ACS implementation. Customer should be able to use ACS on mainline hostap/supplicant using following patch . openssl 1.1.x support was added to mainline hostap v 2.7 onward so i believe they should be able to use it . Please provide customer with this patch .

the provided patch solves ACS issue with open source hostapd 2.7 and openssl1.1.x.

There are others TI patches for opensource hostapd/supplicant 2.7?
