We are developing a product with the CC3220MOD WiFi and I want to consider supporting a web page interface for setup and status.

We developed our application based on the Network Terminal example code.

On our prototypes we build I am aware there is a factory default web page which serves very interesting information about the device setup and allows for changing some settings.

I will provide screen shots in a follow on email

There is no reference code for this in the Network Terminal example code. I had expected their to be some due to my experience with the TIVA ARM LAN solutions. But after a while and while a bit reading I figured out that there is an HTTP server and all we have to do (easier said than done) is put the web page code into the file system with Uniflash.

Where can we get this and other reference designs which work with the CC3220?

I would start by looking at our Programmers Guide for the Internal HTTP server:
www.ti.com/.../swru455g.pdf (Page 152).

This should explain how our device handles HTTP requests, and how you could implement it.

You can also look at our portable+WiFi SimpleLink Academy, which does some configuration of the HTTP server to server sensor data.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I have spend a lot of time with the swru455e document and have downloaded the g version. A quick search on "index.h" did got get me to example web pages.

I will look into the portable+WiFi example where I hope to find the html for the file "portable.html" in the Portable_Wifi_<x>.zip.

Assuming I can find and down load the portable.html I should have an example for controlling a GPIO pin (the LED). However. example web pages I pictured from my screen shots were of a web page with a lot of very useful network connection and setup information which I think we may find useful.

Someone in Texas Instrument must have the source which will help not only us by many of TI's customers.

Hope you can shake the bushes and get the code out of hiding.

Hey Forrest,

These are for the internal HTTP server, and are stored in ROM. It wouldn't be possible then to build on top of. You would have to recreate them.

It could be possible to download the webpage from your internet browser, and use that to recreate it.

Hello Vince,

I am new to this and so may not fully understand or know how to express what I think I am after, but I think from the browser I could only get the information of the web page but not the server side actions that get the information filled into the form delivered to the client in the form.

The TIVA part TM4C1294 with which I have worked had interesting features like Server Side Includes and CGI examples from which I could extend functionality and not have to conceive something from scratch which for a beginner would be very sub optimal.

Someone at TI must have the source files / project for the CC3220 default web page.

I'll ask around and see if i can find them. If you view on your browser, and download, this should be what you need. Then you just need to understand the tokens you need to support in the HTTP server.

Any hint of success on the web page source code?
Should I close this and we conclude that the source code has been stored in write only memory or in the tame black hole Arthur C Clark alleged Stanly Kuberic used as a file system?

Unfortunately no. Your best bet is try downloading from a browser while viewing.

Hi Vincent,

I attached OOB web page code please look into settings.html(this code loading dynamically into the browser means javascript code loading html code after you type ip address in your browser)

if you want to understand ti source code from oob settings.html try to set breakpoints in your browser and do step by step debugging.

browser loaded code(see settings.html) also attached this code you can able to see full html code after browser extracted.

Thanks much. I used 7 Zip to extract the files and can see the HTML and JS files.
I have to read and understand them next.

I assume there are some JS functions or something in the HTML GET which the server in the OOB returns at the request of the JS or GET parsing in the CC3220 for which I am hunting next.
