WL1835MOD: FCC/ETSI Qualification

We are using VAR-SOM-SOLO module which has an inbuilt WIFi with part no.-

WL1835MOD.

Please clarify the below details.

which type of modulation technique?

Adaptive equipment or Non adaptive equipment .

    1) Modulation techniques - We cover DSSS, CCK, OFDM and MCS rates
    2) We are adaptive (look before talk) and implement CCA (Clear channel assessment)
    3) For FCC/ETSI qualification, you can refer to the reports.

    Within each of the reports (FCC, IC, CE, Japan), there are details information of the wifi module. I am not sure what information you are missing. If you can provide a detailed list we can point you to the information or provide the details.

    1. The type of wide band modulation used?
    2. Adaptive equipment or Non- Adaptive Equipment?
    3. For adaptive equipment: whether LBT based DAA or non-LBT based DAA?
    4. for LBT based adaptive equipment whether FBE or LBE/
    5. Receiver Category?
    6. Transmit operating mode?
    7. Operating frequency range of the equipment?
    8. the type of the equipment, for example: stand-alone equipment, plug-in radio equipment, combined equipment, etc?
    9. the operational environmental profile?
    10. the intended combination(s) of the radio equipment power settings and one or more antenna assemblies, their corresponding maximum gain(s) (G) and the resulting e.i.r.p. levels taking also into account the beamforming gain (Y) if applicable  For equipment where in receive mode, the antenna assembly gain and/or beamforming gain is different from the transmit mode, the antenna assemblies, their corresponding maximum gain(s) (G) and the beamforming gain (Y) that apply in the receive mode?

    1. The type of wide band modulation used? -> We are 20MHZ and 40MHz Wifi signas, DSSS, CCK, OFDM, MCS rates
    2. Adaptive equipment or Non- Adaptive Equipment? -> Adaptive
    3. For adaptive equipment: whether LBT based DAA or non-LBT based DAA? -> LBT
    4. for LBT based adaptive equipment whether FBE or LBE/ -> LBE
    5. Receiver Category? -> You can get this information from our Canada certificate in the previous link I sent you.
    6. Transmit operating mode? -> a/b/g/n
    7. Operating frequency range of the equipment? -> This will be up to you end product. you can see our test reports for 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ frequency bands for your specific region.
    8. the type of the equipment, for example: stand-alone equipment, plug-in radio equipment, combined equipment, etc? -> Customer question at product level.
    9. the operational environmental profile? -> Customer question at product level.

    13. whether or not the equipment supports a geo-location capability? -> depending on how you setup the SW. Out of the box our module is no. We support WW mode

    1) No of Transmit chain? -> Can be up to 2 depending on how you configure the device. We can support dual antenna. See the datasheet for more detaisl and a block diagram.
