CC3200: Continuous mode stop automatically in advance for CC3200 Radio Tool V1.2.5942.19689

Our Ctm are having issues with the continuous mode Tx mode in Radio Tool. When the CC3200 is asked to start transmitting, it will transmit but only for a few seconds(~5seconds) before it stops completely.

Ps. 1. The version of Radio Tool is lastest

2. The most of continue time is less than 5s but it will also spend about 1 minute sometimes

3. The problem seems still exist even though we set the output of power to the maximum

4. The problem seems still exist even though we select the option of override CCA

5. Ctm's product can communicate normally in their production test and there is no off-line problem in their production test

There are some similar issue in E2E , But it all seem been unresolved temporarily.

Hi Troyson,

Can you upload a picture if your Tx settings from RadioTool? Is this on a custom board or a launchpad?

Hi Alexis:

The following is tx settings .The problem of ontinuous mode stop automatically occurs in Ctm's self board . And ctm also used TI CC3200-LAUNCHXL test. Under the same tx settings, TI CC3200-LAUNCHXL can output continuously.And ctm test the waveform of CC3200 PIN42-DCDC_PA_OUT. It seems that the waveform of DCDC_PA_OUT is weird after tx testing stop automatically.

Could you help to check problem of continuous mode stop automatically? Thank you!

Hi Troyson,

Since the issue is only happening on their custom board and not on the launchpad, I suspect that the issue is caused by their hardware design. Can you share ctm's the schematic as it relates to the CC3200?
