CC2564MODNEM: Conducted FCC emission test for CC2454MODN

Part Number: CC2564MODNEM

For conducted FCC emission tests, should we put the SMA connector before or after the inductance ?

The antenna 2450AT18A100E is obsolete and/or difficult to buy, is there an alternative ?

  • Hi Fredj,

For conducted tests you want to use the U.FL connector with no matching. If you remove the antenna and place a coax cable where the antenna is, this will not be correct as the inductor is sued to match to 50 ohms as seen by the antenna. Thus you should populated the RF path to the connector only and ensure that the resistor to the antenna path is removed.

For a different antenna and reuse of our certification, you need to ensure you use a chip antenna and that the gain is less than or equal to the current gain of the chip antenna. IF you do need to use a different type of antenna, then you will require a change in ID / multiple listing change (US/Canada) to reuse the certification. In this way you will get your own FCC/IC ID based on our original filing, then perform any delta testing required from the lab.
