CC3100MOD: ERROR -100

Hi,

Our system using the CC3100MOD.

One of our customers complain, that the system suddenly disconnected from our server ( tcp socket closed) and after some time reconnected.

I see according to received log: Status: <-100>, Sender: <12>, Abort Type <134352028>, Abort Data <0>.

Immediately after this error received new IP address. For example, On start system received from AP ip address: 192.168.0.2, after the error <-100> renew address : 192.168.0.3.

I don't understand, why router changed the IP address ?

what happen here?

Leon,

Can you capture NWP logs and/or sniffer capture of this occurring? It sounds like the router is trying to renew our IP address, but renews to a new address - Or we are getting kicked off the network and on reconnection getting a new IP Address.

From our device side, What errors are you seeing on the socket?

Hi Vince,

Unfortunately, we cannot capture NWP log's because of current system location.

In my code implemented driver callback:

In this callback captured errors reported by CC3100MOD.

Okay gotcha.

It looks like we are getting kicked off as a DHCP client, and having to reconnect instead of renegotiating. I don' t know why the AP would do this.

To investigate further we would need a sniffer capture of the Wi-Fi traffic, and NWP logs to determine root cause.

Do you know what the router model number is?
