CC3235S: Uniflash Error Saving Project: Unhandled Exception

I'm having issues saving and loading projects in Uniflash. When I try to save a project called 'Test Project' I get the following error message:

Error (111) Saving Project:Unhandled exception: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: u'J:\\\\.SLImageCreator\\projects\\Test Project\\Test Project.json'

I don't have a J: drive mapped and I don't know why it's searching there. Uniflash is installed in the default C: drive directory.

Hi Stephen,

UniFlash ImageCreator creates a temporary project folder in your Users folder in addition to the installation directory. On Windows, mine is in C:\Users\<user>\.SLImageCreator\projects.

Are you able to reinstall the tool and try creating a new project?

Hello Sarah,

I also have that projects directory on my system on the same path. I tried reinstalling UniFlash but I'm still getting the same error. Any idea why it's looking in the wrong folder, or change where it's looking?

Hi Steve,

What OS are you using?

Can you try installing an older version of UniFlash? https://www.ti.com/tool/download/UNIFLASH/5.3.1

I'm using Windows 10. I tried installing the older version you linked and I'm still getting the same error. What should I try next?

Hi Steve,

I'm checking with our tools team what else to try, but I've never seen this issue where the install path is on another drive. Are you able to try another computer in the meantime?

Sounds good please let me know what they suggest. In the meantime I found a workaround where I added a mapped drive to the directory that it's looking in. Working for now but would be nice to know how to avoid this.

Hi Steve,

Please check if there is a cfg.json in your uniflash_x.x.x/simplelink/imagecreator/bin folder. If so, delete it.
Open uniflash_x.x.x/simplelink/imagecreator/bin/SLImageCreator.exe to check your default directories. Is there anything unusual there?
Try creating a cfg.json in your uniflash_x.x.x/simplelink/imagecreator/bin folder and add the following line to specify a directory:

{"projectDir":"C:\\test\\projects"}
